SOCCER AND NETBALL MATCHES AGAINS ZWARTKOP CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
Last week Thursday, 11 May 2017, the netball and junior soccer teams played friendly matches against Zwartkop Christian School. It was an exciting afternoon, the junior girls won their match as did the junior boys team. The senior matches were tough but our girls demonstrated great sportsmanship and though they lost, were certainly not beaten. Our girls learnt a lot and had an enjoyable game. Thanks to the coaches and to Mam Liandri for organizing the matches.
GRADE 6 MOTHER’S DAY BREAKFAST 12 MAY 2017
On Friday 12 May the Grade 6 class and their mothers were treated to a wonderful breakfast hosted by Elturion in the school hall. The tables and hall were beautifully decorated with flowers and butterflies and each learner made a placemat as well as a pen holder as a gift, which was part of the decorations and presented to each mom. The learners also entertained the mothers with two dance items and Bianca Edwards welcomed and thanked the moms for their love and dedication. Even though it was a cold morning, we all left with warm hearts. A sincere word of appreciation is extended to Mam Marietjie for all her organizing and making of the gifts. A heartfelt thank you is also extended to Mam Vino and Mam Karen for the preparation of the very tasty and tastefuly presented breakfast! We are blessed to have such caring staff at Elturion.
TEKKIE TAX 26 MAY 2017
We will once again support Tekkie Tax Day in aid of various charities. Beaded shoelaces with a sticker will be available from the tuck shop at R35 or just a sticker at R10 each to make things easier for our busy parents. These are also available from the local Spar, Pick ‘n Pay etc. Children may wear any colour tekkies on Friday 26 May 2017 provided they have a sticker. Laces may be added to the tekkies or the girls may even tie them in their hair for the day.
