OUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT

One of our Grade Six learners, Denica Pestana has fallen and broken both her arm and her leg, not at school might I add.  Our support, prayers and compassion go out to the family.  It is so heartwarming to see how caring our children are towards their peer.

CONGRATULATIONS

Gemma McFall has written her theory music exam and she has passed with merit achieving 79%.  We are so proud of her and her achievement.

this week. Children are making crazy hats in celebration of Dr Seuss’s love for hats. They are also dressing up as “something Dr Seuss” on Thursday and Mam Adelaide has some fun activities planned for the English lesson on Thursday. Please don’t forget to send a small party snack for your child to share with the class.

ATHLETICS OR RATHER ELTURION GAMES

Things are ever changing/evolving at Elturion.  This year we are looking to improve our athletics into something not only physical, but also educational and developmental for our learners.  We will be hosting our first “Elturion Games” instead of our traditional athletics.  These games are focused on developing the skills needed for athletics in order to better enable our children to achieve even greather heights.  We have thus also rescheduled our Interhouse Athletics for September – the exact date will be confirmed.  Our aim is to also involve parents and compete even against you!

ATHLETICS ACTIVITY PERIOD

We will be practicing for our Elturion Games during activity period on a Wednesday morning.  Children must please wear their orange outing shirt, navy quantic shorts, white socks and white tekkies every Wednesday.  The school tracksuit may also be worn on colder mornings.

PARENT TEACHER BRAAI / GAMES

Please don’t forget to diarise the 24th of March 2017 for our parent teacher braai and games.

 INTERMEDIATE PHASE TOUR

An information letter for the tour has gone out, please ensure that you have read it and returned the reply slip. We are going to the Bush Pigs Outdoor Educational Centre in the Waterberg mountains. It promises to be a most exciting and educational time for our children.
