ANNUAL INFORMATION

EXTRA-MURAL ACTIVITIES

The school offers a wide variety of extra-mural activities. Learners are expected to take part in at least one activity per term. A learner who has joined an extra-mural activity is obliged to attend the practices as detailed or to provide the staff member with a valid excuse in good time. Once committed, he/she is also obliged to see the season/term through. PE and computers are compulsory and form part of the curriculum of our school from grade RR to grade seven respectively. Newly introduced is robotics from pre-school up to high school, as well as coding.

All dates and times will be advised at the beginning of the term.  Private Coaches or tutors at private rates over and above school fees present the following activities:

Swimming

Little Lab Coats

All payments for extra-mural activities must be paid directly to the appropriate coach and NOT into the school’s account.

We also offer Netball, athletics, choir, soccer, and cross country running.  These activities are practised at the Korfbal courts in Klip Street, or at Elturion’s own property depending on the specific need of the particular sport.

YOUR FINANCIAL COMMITMENT

It is our God-given right to choose where and how our children will be educated.  Along with that right, we must also assume the responsibility of being a vital part in that process.  Our program can only reach its full potential in your child’s life if we have your agreement and full support on these fundamental issues.

Due to Elturion Independent Christian School being a fully private school and since our funding is completely dependant upon school fees, all parents are required to accept a monthly debi check to cover your child’s fees. This will go a long way to ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the school.  Because we only accept a maximum of 20 children per educator, you can appreciate that funding it tight.

Your financial commitment to the school is for school fees payable over 11 months. School fees cover your child’s tuition, music creativity, IT training and sporting activities as previously mentioned.  Please be advised that school fees have to reflect in the school bank account by the 7th of each month.  Every effort must be made to avoid this action from being enforced. Most importantly, if the school fees are not reflected in the school’s account by the 7th, your child will not be permitted access to the school as from the 8th of each month, in conjunction with this, in order for your child to gain exam entrance in both June and November exams, as well as entrance to the test week at the end of term one and three the school fees have to be up to date at that time. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE PERMITTED TO THIS CONDITION!
